Located on State Street between Randolph and Lake streets, the Film Center is one-half block south of the Sate/Lake L (brown, green, orange, pink, and purple lines), and just outside of the Lake red line subway stop. Driving to the Film Center
From Lake Shore Drive:
Take Lake Shore Drive to Michigan Avenue. Follow Michigan Ave. to the Randolph Street exit. Go west on Randolph to State Street, the entrance to the Interparking SELF-PARK is between Wabash and State. The Film Center entrance is on State Street a half block north of Borders Books.
From I90/94:
Take I90/94 to the Ohio St. exit. Go east on Ohio to State St. Turn right (south) onto State. The Film Center entrance is four blocks south on your right.
From I55:
Take the I55 to I90/94 or Lake Shore Drive, then proceed as above.
Discount Parking for Film Center Patrons
Park at the InterPark Self-Park at 20 E. Randolph St. and pay only $14 for nine hours with a validation ticket obtained from the Film center box office. The garage is located between State St. and Wabash Ave (across the street from Macy's).
Box Office
The Film Center box office opens one hour before the first show of the day and closes following the end of the final show of the day. Although the schedule may vary slightly, this generally means that the box office hours of operation are:
Monday-Friday: 5PM - 9PM
Saturday: 2PM - 9PM
Sunday: 2PM - 6PM
Tickets for all films currently on sale can be purchased at our box office during the hours of operation, in-person only. If you'd like to purchase advance tickets at a time when the box office is not open, you can do so online or over the phone via Ticketmaster. ALL ticket related transactions must be handled through Ticketmaster (online or over the phone) or in-person at the box office. Please be aware that when customer traffic is heavy, the box office may not be able to answer the phone.
