The Gene Siskel Film Center’s Gallery/Cafe enhances the film going experience with an array of film-related exhibitions. Many exhibits are specifically curated with various departments at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago to thematically support current film festivals or retrospectives.
The Gallery/Café features ample seating and tables; enjoy a conversation with coffee or wine before or after a screening.
On permanent view is Victor Skrebneski’s Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down photograph of Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert. Also currently on display: a selection of movie posters, recent and vintage, from the Film Center's own archives.
