A father-daughter relationship comes to a precarious turning point in this third feature by award-winning Cypriot director Georgiou (UNDER THE STARS, SMALL CRIME). An evening that climaxes in the forbidden thrill of throwing a Molotov cocktail in an Athens street demonstration has a chilling coda when teenaged Margarita goes home to face her dad, a riot squad cop who was wounded in the encounter. Forced into a time-out weekend at an isolated country cottage alone with her furious father, the rebellious girl refuses all attempts at peacemaking overtures, and instead gets a deeper look into the violent camaraderie of the police force. In Greek with English subtitles. Courtesy of Twenty Twenty Vision Filmproduktion. DCP digital widescreen. (BS)
