“Pitch perfect…a minor triumph.”
—Paul Griffiths, Eye for Film

The signs pointing to a relationship’s impending demise are rendered with subtle humor and delicious flourish in this bittersweet romantic comedy that points to a promising career for first-time Chicago director Peterson. As law student Anne and slacker boyfriend Amir make a rocky start on the living-together experiment, a snake slides into this would-be paradise in the form of a smarmy next-door neighbor with eyes for Anne. Pathos alternates with some real knee-slapping moments, including a spot-on look at girls’ night out, and a case study in crash-pad etiquette for guys. With Alex Karpovsky, Alex Rennie, and Bob Byington. HDCAM video. (BS)

Director Dean Peterson will be present for audience discussion on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
