A concert film of the cult Icelandic rock band Sigur Rós shot during two London engagements, INNI breaks the mold of the performance documentary and succeeds in creating the visual equivalent of the group’s mysterious ethereal music. Director Morisset molds the flow of shadowy black-and-white imagery and fragments of super-close close-ups into a post-modern lightshow that becomes one with the haunting falsetto solos of lead singer Jon Thor Birgisson and enhances the trance-like beauty of each extended piece.
