Chicago premiere! Comic Maz Jobrani in person!

"A total hoot…what else would one expect from a comic known as the ‘Persian Pink Panther?'" — Marjorie Baumgarten, Austin Chronicle

"Bold, raunchy and biting…one of the most outrageously funny comedies in years.” — NYC Movie Guru

Stereotypes are hilariously skewered in this timely spoof created by Iranian American standup comic Maz Jobrani of "The Axis of Evil Comedy Tour," and author of "I’m Not a Terrorist, But I’ve Played One on TV." America-loving Iranian traffic cop Jamsheed (Jobrani) scores a Green Card, but, thanks to an untimely accident involving a flag, is branded a potential terrorist by a right-wing news channel. Reinventing himself in L.A. as “Jimmy,” this aspiring private eye becomes the gullible pawn of an arms dealer (Heard), while targeted for romance by his dorky seventh cousin and erstwhile assistant Leila (Vand, of A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT). Jobrani energetically makes comic mincemeat of everything from terrorism and nuclear fears to immigrant cultural foibles. DCP digital. (BS)

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 25: Writer/actor Maz Jobrani will be present for a standup comedy set and audience discussion at both Sunday shows. Special admission prices for Sunday only: General Admission $25; Students $20; Members $15.
