A mother and son decide to do something special for their ailing nanny in LITTLE MANILA (pictured, dir. Arthur Rodger 'Harley' Maranan) In FIDEL (dir. Luke Lace) a young man hesitates to help care for his housebound grandmother. A poetic meditation on a volcanic eruption and a mother’s rage is explored in THE ROARING OF THE CARABAO (dir. Angeline Meitzler). In KAIN TAYO! (dir. Kirsten Magbanua) a brother and sister use food to compete for their mother’s favor. In CHICKEN FOR DINNER (dir. Sharon Mayo) a young woman tries to reconcile her family’s present with its past. A woman and a mysterious man use the power of karaoke to fight for their right to be free in A KARAOKE SPACE ODYSSEY (dir. Achim Mendoza). And in UPROOTED (dir.
