The Gene Siskel Film Center welcomes educators and students!

The Gene Siskel Film Center presents approximately 1,500 screenings of world-class international, independent, classic films and documentaries with over 100 filmmaker appearances annually.

As a public program of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Gene Siskel Film Center believes that film is a powerful educational tool, providing cultural exposure, multicultural understanding, and historical perspective to students of all ages. To enhance the educational opportunities for young people throughout the city, the Film Center welcomes public and private high school and college classrooms to our facility to experience films on the big screen, many of which are unavailable any other way. You can schedule private, daytime screenings for school groups, or encourage your students to attend evening and weekend public screenings. Gene Siskel Film Center movies allow students rare opportunities to view classic and world cinema at an exclusive Chicago showcase. We believe these films provide an informative and inspiring springboard for dialogue and critical thinking.

AP English and History classes, foreign language classes, cinema classes or clubs, and after-school programs!
