"The funniest movie of the year." — David Ehrlich, Indiewire

“Joke for joke, this is much funnier than THE TRIP TO ITALY, predicated as always on Coogan’s vanity and insecurity.” — J.R. Jones, Chicago Reader

The intrepid gourmet sparring partners of THE TRIP and THE TRIP TO ITALY are back on the road again, older, funnier, but not necessarily wiser. From town to picturesque town, Spain’s Mediterranean coast rolls out an enticing menu of lush landscapes and foodie delights, while a hint of male menopause begins to shade the snarky one-upmanship of vain raconteur Coogan, facing career woes and battling a new U.S. agent via smartphone, and his wily foil Brydon, not-so-guiltily taking a breather from the chaos of his young family. As ever in this compulsively watchable franchise, food provides the eye candy, but the real meat comes in the form of conversations that devolve into competing celebrity impressions, foremost among them the perennial Michael Caine, plus Mick Jagger, David Bowie, Ian McKellen, Roger Moore, and more.
