A huge helping of Mediterranean sun and sea, followed in due course by a luscious bounty of grapes, olives, artisanal cheeses and plentiful wine makes this delightful story of a stressed-out executive's reinvention go down easy. Until the day he is laid off, Johnny (Corraface), manager for a four-star hotel chain, is all but immune to the lush beauties of the island of Crete, where he lives with his second wife and teenage kids. At loose ends while the family goes on with their busy lives, Johnny humorously begs his vineyard-owning neighbor for a job in the grape harvest. One thing leads to another in this pure fantasy of a plot that rides on the abundant charm of international star Corraface while showing off Crete's eye-popping landscape and traditional culture at every turn. In Greek and English with English subtitles. Courtesy of the director. DCP digital widescreen. (BS)
