Membership Levels

Individual - $60 annual fee
One discounted ticket for each screening/event.

Dual - $100 annual fee
Two discounted tickets for each screening/event.



The Film Center offers a $5 discount on membership to the following groups, with valid ID:

  • Seniors (65+)
  • Students (any institution)
  • Art Institute of Chicago members (must be an active member)
  • Museum of Contemporary Art members (must be an active member)

Discounts can only be applied when purchasing or renewing a membership in-person at the box office with proof of eligibility and cannot be combined or stacked with other offers. Discounts cannot be redeemed online due to verification. We thank you for your cooperation.


Membership FAQs

Can I buy a membership in person?

Yes! Memberships can be bought online or in-person during box office open hours (30 minutes before the first showtime of the day).

How do I receive my membership discount?

Discounts can only be applied when purchasing a membership in-person at the box office with proof of eligibility and cannot be combined or stacked with other offers. 

Do I get a membership card? 

A membership card is not required to purchase tickets online or at the box office.

In an effort to reduce the Siskel's plastic and paper consumption, we do not automatically issue physical membership cards upon the purchase or renewal of a membership. If purchasing tickets at the box office, you only need to provide us with your first and last name to confirm your member status. If purchasing your tickets online, please use the membership login information you created when purchasing your membership to ensure you receive your tickets at the discounted member price.

Please note that our staff cannot offer partial refunds if you have already purchased tickets at full price. 

However, if you would still like a physical membership card please visit the box office during open hours and our staff will create one for you. 

The Film Center does not mail out membership cards. There is a limit of one card per member. 

How do I add a digital membership card to my phone?
  • Visit the Sign In page on your phone, then click on the icon on the top right that has the first initial of your name (next to the Cart 🛒 icon). From the options shown, click “My Account” to view your membership account details.
  • Next, click on the option of “My Benefits” at the bottom of the list.
  • On the next screen, you can select whether you want to add your membership card to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay account.
  • Your phone will then confirm your card addition to your mobile wallet.
  • Next time you visit the box office or concessions to use your member benefits, you can show us your digital card! We appreciate our members choosing to save plastic and using our digital card feature.
How do I purchase a membership as a gift?

How does the gift recipient know that they received a gift membership? When are they notified?

We will not contact the gift recipient directly, but we will send the gift giver a PDF with a PIN and instructions. This is sent after payment has been submitted. The gift recipient will be instructed to redeem their gift membership directly at our box office, and present the PIN received. When they redeem their gift membership, they will be assigned a member number to use going forward.

 Does the gift recipient have to come in person to redeem the gift membership?

Yes. At this time, gift memberships cannot be redeemed over the phone or online.

How soon can the gift recipient begin receiving membership benefits?

The gift recipient can begin purchasing tickets, merchandise and concessions at the member rate as soon as the gift membership is redeemed and activated at the box office. Our member mailing lists are updated every 1-2 weeks.
