Followed by a post screening discussion with Maksym Melnyk.

"A well-crafted piece of verite, deftly edited and propelled by Melnyk's genuine affection for his subjects and hunger for their conversations." Vadim Rizov, Filmmaker Magazine

"Melnyk couldn’t have located any more salt of the earth subjects, all incredibly endearing in their own ways. Three Women is as generous in spirit as the people it follows." - Stephen Saito, The Moveable Feast

Monday, August 7, 6:30 p.m. | The remote Ukrainian village of Stuzhytsya (roughly translated as “a cold place”) is situated in the Carpathian Mountains in the border triangle between Poland and Slovakia. Three elderly women—a farmer, a post office clerk, and a biologist are firmly rooted in a place where hardly any young people are left in 2019, the year of Zelensky’s election victory. As director Malynky and his film crew document their lives, they also become, at least temporarily,  a valued part of the village community. Followed by a post screening discussion with Maksym Melnyk.
