"Of all the films that have ever been or will be, nothing compares to Beaver Trilogy." - Sundance Film Festival

"A rivetingly strange, multilayered inquiry into celebrity, obsession, and serendipity." - A.O. Scott, New York Times

Monday, June 29, 6:00 p.m. | In 1979, filmmaker Trent Harris visits the small town of Beaver, Utah, to film a talent show. An Olivia Newton-John impersonator named Groovin’ Gary leaves such an impression on him that he reenacts Gary's performance in 1981 with a young Sean Penn and again in 1985 with a young Crispin Glover. He later combined the original documentary footage with the two fictional remakes to create BEAVER TRILOGY, a one of a kind portrait of a small town outsider and the complex relationships between subject and filmmaker, documentation and exploitation.
