After Yingying Zhang, a 26-year-old Chinese post-grad student, goes missing from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign on June 9, 2017, her family travels to the U.S. for the first time in search of her.  Within weeks of her arrival, the aspiring young scientist and teacher had disappeared from the campus in broad daylight.  Through exclusive access to Yingying’s family and boyfriend, FINDING YINGYING closely follows their journey as they search to unravel the mystery of her disappearance and seek justice for their daughter while navigating a strange foreign country.  In English and Chinese with English subtitles.  (Description courtesy of Kartemquin Films)
