The eye-filling charms of a trio of Hollywood’s most notoriously statuesque stars were calculated to be a match for Fox’s recently introduced widescreen CinemaScope process in this glamorous romantic comedy. The story is pure escapism, and what an escape it is, into the penthouse lair of three gold-digger models trolling Manhattan for millionaire husbands. As myopic Pola, too vain to wear much-needed glasses, Marilyn Monroe gives dumb blondes a good name with her slyly winsome appeal and drop-dead comic timing. (BS) Screened in 2005 as part of Merry Marilyn.
