Monday, March 30, 6:15 p.m. | Join the Black Harvest Film Festival and Women in Film Chicago for a special screening of INVISIBLE GIANTS with director Essence McDowell, celebrating Women's History Month. The film follows artists, educators, and organizers as they carry history forward, challenge erasure, and spark conversations about identity, culture, and collective memory. From the voices of young students seeking histories absent from their classrooms, to the wisdom of 92-year-old Brenetta Howell Barrett, whose decades of organizing have transformed Chicago, INVISIBLE GIANTS explores the ways that history defines the present and shapes the future. This cinematic journey reveals hidden legacies and invites viewers to witness the enduring impact of Black women past, present, and future.
