“The epiphany of movie sentiment and a transcendent experience.” - David Kehr, Chicago Reader

On Christmas Eve, as he considers suicide, family man George Bailey (James Stewart) wishes to the heavens that he had never been born. His prayers are met by the angel Clarence, who takes George through on a journey to show him the impact his life thus far has made, and what the lives of those he loves would look like if he indeed had not been born. Perhaps the most beloved Christmas movie of all time, watching (or re-watching) IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE is a joyful, life-affirming experience. (RF)
