“By the time Tom Waits growls his lovely closing waltz over the credits, Jarmusch has shown us moments most filmmakers don't even notice.” - Geoff Andrew, Time Out

“At the end, we have learned no great lessons and arrived at no thrilling conclusions, but we have shared the community of the night, when people are unbuttoned and vulnerable - more ready to speak about what's really on their minds.” - Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times

Wednesday, April 5 at 6pm | Jim Jarmusch assembles an extraordinary cast, including Gena Rowlands, Winona Ryder, Giancarlo Esposito, and Roberto Benigni, for his disarmingly charming anthology of five short stories that take place in five different taxi cabs on the same night in five different cities (Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Helsinki, and Rome). Individually, these vignettes explore the intimate space between the front and back seat, and how strangers become connected by a shared ride. Collectively, they break down the boundaries that might divide us, and celebrate the connections we all share: language, communication, storytelling, and the universality of “grabbing a cab.” Soundtracked by the moody growl of Tom Waits, NIGHT ON EARTH is a journey of the human condition.
