Persistence of Memory

February 14–26, 2025

Who we are today is shaped by our past (our childhood, good or bad; what we had for lunch, good or bad). But, as we likely can all admit, our memories are fallible, so what is the definitive narrative of our lives? With Persistence of Memory, we present 10 films (poetically, all quite memorable) that explore recollection, unreliable narrators and amnesiatic protagonists, ghosts real and imagined, the way others remember us (ouch), and the coming to terms with that, as much as we try to hold on to them, as time passes our memories shift and slip away.
