Monday, June 22, 11:15 a.m. | Sofia works as a location scout for a network TV show shooting in New York City. It’s her job to find the homes, businesses, and exteriors where the soon-to-be-shot show will take place. This means a daily journey into the private spaces and lives of numerous city residents, photographing their properties and briefly stepping into the fabric of their lives. Over the course of a day filled with these encounters, Sofia plays witness to moments of curiosity, vulnerability, and quiet tension, until her work takes a sudden, personal turn. THE SCOUT is a contemplative exploration of urban disconnection, following one woman’s quiet journey through other people’s worlds as she struggles to find her own.
