Opens March 29 | Multimedia artist Jenny Perlin (SAIC MFA, 98) takes a surreal roadtrip across the Midwest, investigating the eccentric, isolated, and insulated lives of men who have decided to live in underground bunkers and decommissioned nuclear silos. Perlin visits these undisclosed locations and meets with the men who have taken shelter - both figuratively and literally - from the outside world. Though many of BUNKER’s subjects claimed these homes before COVID, Perlin’s curious, verité documentary is a profound commentary on survival and solitude. Free for SAIC students and faculty! Complimentary tickets can be obtained at the Film Center box office. Director Jenny Perlin scheduled to attend Wednesday, March 29, 6:00PM and Friday, March 31, 8:15PM.
