Saturday, January 20, 8:00 p.m. (Encore) | In this dizzying, screwball farce, a prominent businessman goes missing and his son is pulled into a world of criminal misfits that includes a group of European expats, an American escort, and a couple of mob enforcers. A shrewd commentary on the pursuit of happiness, with MAHJONG Yang deftly observes the irreconcilable misunderstandings that arise from conflicting generations and social classes. The new 4K restoration was undertaken by the Taiwan Film and Audiovisual Institute with the support of Kaili Peng and Kaleidoscope Pictures.
